天元数学东北中心拟于2021年8月举办“反问题与不确定性量化”主题暑期短课—A Mathematical Introduction of Data Assimilation。该短课程由复旦大学陆帅教授开授，为从事反问题与不确定性量化的青年教师与研究生提供短课程，以期在短时间内让青年教师和研究生能够初步掌握其中的关键问题和典型研究方法，为进一步的研究学习奠定坚实基础。

课程内容：
Inverse problems are ubiquitous in real applications. When the underlying mathematical model is a (possibly stochastic) dynamical system and the observation data may be time-ordered, the inverse problem by combining dynamical models and sequential observation is referred to data assimilation. The research area of data assimilation has been widely driven by practitioners working in the atmospheric, oceanographic sciences and in other areas of the geosciences. However, there has been few systematic treatment of the mathematical underpinnings of this subject. In this minicourse, we provide a brief mathematical introduction of data assimilation.

授课人介绍：
陆帅，复旦大学数学科学学院教授，主要从事数学物理反问题计算方法与数学理论的研究，特别是反问题正则化方法收敛性分析及偏微分方程反问题稳定性理论等。至今在Inverse Problems、SIAM系列、Numer. Math.、Math. Comp.等权威期刊共发表学术论文五十余篇，合作出版英文学术专著一本。2019年获得国家杰出青年科学基金资助，现任《Inverse  Problems》的编委。曾获上海市自然科学奖一等奖（第二完成人）。

1、招生对象：从事相关领域研究的青年教师、博士后、博士或高年级硕士生；本次课程为线上课程，不限人数。
2、学员待遇：主办方提供课程资料，学员不需缴纳学费。
