上海交通大学自然科学研究院成立于2010年，是应用数学、统计、物理、计算机和生命科学交叉科学研究平台，研究院成员全部具有海外背景，绝大多数获得过国家级奖励与荣誉。

上海交通大学自然科学研究院与数学科学学院也是上海国家应用数学中心上海交大分中心所在地。上海应用数学中心是依托复旦大学和上海交通大学设立的国家级数学与交叉科学研究平台。交大分中心分子动力学，流体力学和等离子体计算相关研究方向获得国家科技部、自然科学基金委、中科院和上海市科委重点支持，以及国内知名企业资助。因科研工作需要，公开招聘多名博士后研究人员，从事基础算法、高性能计算和计算机模拟研究。

岗位要求：

近期国内外知名高校和科研机构获得数学、物理、化学或计算机科学等相关方向博士学位。具有计算数学、计算物理、分子模拟或并行计算等领域的研究经历。有较强的科研潜力、英文水平和团队协作能力。

Postdoctoral Fellow Openings on Molecular Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics and Plasma Simulations at Institute of Natural Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

The Institute of Natural Sciences (INS), founded in 2010, is an academic platform for cross-disciplinary research between applied mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science and biological sciences at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). All of INS members come from top universities overseas, and most of them have received national-level awards or honors. 

INS, joined by School of Mathematical Sciences, is currently hosting a division of Shanghai National Center for Applied Mathematics, which is a national-level research platform for mathematics and interdisciplinary study. The research on molecular dynamics, fluid dynamics and plasma simulations at INS is financially supported by Ministry of Science and Technology, National Science Foundation of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, together with Chinese tech companies of household names. The Postdoctoral positions are designed for developing basic algorithms for high-performance computation and molecular dynamics simulation, and/or applying them on various physical,  biological and engineering systems.

Requirements:

The applicant should have a PhD degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or related fields with research experience in algorithm development, parallel computing and molecular dynamics simulations. A good working knowledge of English is necessary.
