July 3 - 5, 2006
National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan
As advances in computer hardware and software have drastically enhanced the power of computation in recent years, computational science begins to play an increasingly important, sometimes pivotal, role in science research as well as engineering and medical applications in additional to the traditional modi operandi rooted in theory and experiment. In recognizing this trend, NCTS is sponsoring a school on modern numerical methods and algorithms in math and physics for interested graduate students and novices in the field. The topics include large scale matrix computation, Monte Carlo method, Bayesian approach in curve fitting, numerical gravity, and GRID computing.
