The First International Conference on Computational Systems Biology will be held in Shanghai, China, July 20-23, 2006
Leading researchers and practitioners in computational systems biology around the world, will gather at ICCSB '06 for four days of presentations, poster sessions, workshops, software demonstrations, and professional discussions.
The purpose of the conference is to address the emerging challenges in computational biology, to provide a general forum for discussing the latest development in this field and to promote its applications to complex diseases and drug development.
Typical but not exclusive topics of interest include
Modeling and identification of biological systems
Dynamics of complex biological systems
Optimization and control of biological processes
Design and synthesis of biological systems
Computational nanoscience and nanotechnology
Systems biology and drug development
Inference of gene regulatory and protein signaling networks
Protein-protein interaction networks
Proteomics for systems biology
Inference of gene interaction networks
Metabolomics in Health and Disease
Evolution of biological networks
Systems biology and environmental science
Systems biology and genome-wide association studies
Papers reporting on original researching in computational systems biology are sought. Papers submitted for review should represent original, previously unpublished work. A selection of the accepted paper after peer review will be invited to appear in a special issue of the IEE Proceedings Systems Biology devoted to ICCSB 2006.
The first international conference on computational systems biology is sponsored by Fudan University, CAS-MPG Partner Institute of Computational Biology and SIBS Shanghai Jiaotong University and co-sponsored by the International Society of Computational Biology.
