First Annoucement on
The International Conference on Approximation in Scientific Computing (ICASC08)
October 26-30, 2008, Beijing

The conference focuses on recent advances and trends in the methods and theory, related to multivariate approximations in scientific computing. It is anticipated that ICACS'08 will bring together a broad group of scientists and engineers to exchange ideas and to discuss future developments.

The subjects include, but are not limited to
1) Multivariate interpolation and approximation
2) Multivariate Fourier analysis and orthogonal polynomials
3) Numerical PDEs, integral equations and fast implementation
4) Spectral methods and adaptive p/hp FEM on irregular domains
5) High efficient linear and non-linear solvers arisen from PDE
