主题: International Conference on Applied Analysis and Scientific Computation, June 25 - 28, Shanghai
Dear Colleagues: On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we would like to announce that the International Conference on Applied Analysis and Scientific Computation will be held on June 25-28, 2009 at Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai, China. The conference is sponsored by Computational Science E-Institute of Shanghai Universities, Shanghai Normal University and Liu Bie Ju Center for Mathematical Science, City University of Hong Kong. In the past decades, tremendous progress has been made in the fields of applied analysis and scientific computation. Various new theories, new methods, and new algorithms have been proposed or established very recently in these two fields, which have been demonstrated to be powerful tools today for various branches of science and engineering and have helped to solve many important problems which previously were thought to be intractable.
This conference will provide a forum for experts in the fields of applied analysis and scientific computation to discuss the recent advances and exchange research ideas. It also aims to promote the interaction between applied analysis and scientific computation.
The conference consists of plenary lectures, invited talks, minisymposium presentations and contributed papers. The topics of this conference include:
1. Asymptotic analysis;
2. Analysis and computations for applied nonlinear PDE's;
3. Mathematical modeling in material science, biology and informatics;
4. Dynamical systems and numerical simulations;
5. New mathematical framework for the finite/boundary element methods;
6. Spectral methods, analysis and applications.
The website of the conference is now available for future information and the messages from the organizers. Te web address is: http://mathsc.shnu.edu.cn/conference/index.htm
We sincerely invite you to participate in the conference. We encourage the submission of minisymposium proposals. The aim of minisymposiums is to highlight the recent developments in theory and applications related to the themes and topics of the conference. The minisymposium may consist of multi sessions and there are usually 4 talks on a related topic in each session. It is anticipated that some funds are available to partially support minisymposium organizers.
We also ask for contributed talks, which will be an important part of the conference. The talk will be of 20-25 minutes long. As much as possible, contributed talks will be combined into sessions with a common topic.
For the detail of the submission of the proposals for minisymposiums and abstracts of talks please visit our website. If you have any questions and concerns, please contact us by our e-mail addresses and the conference e-mail address: icaasc2009@shnu.edu.cn
We hope that you would join us at the International Conference on Applied Analysis and Scientific Computation in June of 2009 at Shanghai, and we believe the conference would be a very successful academic event due to your participation.
