The Institute of Computational Mathematics at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences invites the application of the following positions in scientific computing. The particularly interested fields are computational fluid dynamics (compressible fluids), computational biology, computational geophysics, medical imaging, stochastic computation, and high performance computing. 1. LSEC Assistant Professorship. This is a three-year non-tenured position for candidates having a PhD with excellent potential in research. It is expected the successful LSEC assistant professor will be offered the tenured faculty position in the institute after the completion of the three-year position. The annual salary is 150,000 RMB plus attractive research funds and housing benefits. There is one position available in 2010. The deadline for the candidates who can take the position in 2010 is February 28, 2010.

2. Hundred Talent Project. This is a tenured associate or full professor position for candidates with excellent record and promising potential in research. The candidate should have at least four years academic experience beyond PhD outside mainland China. A research grant of 2 million RMB will be granted from Chinese Academy of Sciences. The salary and housing benefits are competitive. Applications will be considered on a continuing basis until the position is filled. There is one position available in 2010.
