DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
Professor / Associate Professor in Applied Mathematics (PR149/11-12)
The appointee is expected to provide leadership in the further development of a
strong research programme in a supportive department. The appointee will also
provide research and academic leadership, demonstrate administrative experience,including mentoring junior faculty and postgraduate students, conduct significant research, publish in leading academic journals, and gain external research funding to support and expand research activities.
Applicants should possess a relevant PhD degree, with strong research records and teaching experience. Candidates with outstanding record in research and teaching will be considered for appointment at Chair Professor rank.
Terms of appointment:
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers competitive package which include retirement/gratuity  benefits,annual leave, medical and dental scheme, housing assistance and relocation allowance wherever appropriate. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.

The Department of Mathematics invites applications for Lecturer positions in Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Operational Research. Appointees are expected to teach at the undergraduate level.
