The Liu Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences (LBJ Centre) of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is organizing the “International Conference on Applied Mathematics 2012:

Modeling, Analysis and Computation” from 28 May to 1 June 2012. The conference will comprise plenary and invited talks by world renowned mathematicians.

At the conference, the winner of the second William Benter Prize in Applied Mathematics will be announced, and the award recipient will present a lecture about his/her work. The aim of the Prize is to recognize outstanding mathematical contributions that have had a direct and fundamental impact on scientific, business, finance and engineering applications.
