There are recently many new developments in numerical partial differential equations, including some novel discretization methods, solution techniques and applications. It is therefore important to organize a meeting and review these developments. The international conference aims to provide a forum for researchers in China and overseas to exchange ideas on numerical aspects and applications of partial differential equations. It also aims to promote collaborative research on numerical partial differential equations among Chinese scholars and international experts. We plan to review recent developments and explore exciting new directions in the fields, through invited lectures by top experts from China and overseas. We will also give opportunity to young researchers to present their latest findings. The topics include, but not limited to:
Applied PDEs in science and engineering
Novel discretization techniques, including FEM, FD, FV, DG, etc
Stability and convergence theories
Preconditioning techniques
Multiscale approaches
Fast solvers
High performance computing
Optimization for solving PDE
Disciplinary applications of numerical methods to practical problems of PDE
