With the emphasis of strong interaction of significant mathematics with advanced algorithms applicable to real world applications, first-rate invited speakers including academicians from Asia, Europe, and North America, attended the conference.
The programme included 6 plenary addresses, 6 streams and 3 invited workshops with 209 talks.
The plenary addresses were given by internationally-recognized scholars:
Tony Chan | The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong |
Kungching Chang | Peking University, China |
Mung Chiang | Princeton University, United States |
Raytcho Lazarov | Texas A&M University, United States |
Zhi-Ming Ma | The Chinese Academy of Sciences, China |
Ian H. Sloan | The University of New South Wales, Australia |
The delegation from the Chinese mainland included 98 participants, young and mature scholars alike. There were 46 participants from Hong Kong, representing six universities. 30 students participated in the conference, some of them gave talks and many of them engaged in academic discussions with senior scholars.
The Organizing Committee consisted of experts in various areas of computational mathematics:
