The Liu Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences (LBJ Centre) of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is organizing the “International Conference on Applied Mathematics 2018” from 4 to 8 June 2018.The Objectives of the conference are to review and discuss some of the latest trends in the fields of Fluid Mechanics, Large Data, Wave and Computation, Mathematics and Mechanics of Solids. The conference will also serve as an important forum for academic exchange and collaboration among local,Mainland and overseas academics.
At the conference, the winner of 2018 William Benter Prize in Applied Mathematics will be announced,and the award recipient will present a lecture about his/her work. The aim of the Prize is to recognize outstanding mathematical contributions that have had a direct and fundamental impact on scientific,business, finance and engineering applications.
