Based on geometric singular perturbation theory, we discuss the existence of slow manifold model of some chaotic systems such as the L(cid:252)’s system, the Lorenz system, the Chen system and the Chua’s system. Equations of the first order approximate slow manifold are given by using standard geometric singular perturbation method. Some numerical simulation results are also presented.

In this paper boundary value problem method and initial value problem method for periodic boundary value problem of ordinary differential equations are proposed. With use of these methods some numerical examples are computed by MATLAB .The numerical results show that these methods are very efficient.

In this paper, by the simple linear controller, the coupled dynamos dynamical system can be controlled to a stable periodic orbit and a stable fixed point. Meanwhile, the stability of the period orbit and fixed point is proved by the values of Lyapunov exponent. Furthermore, by the nonlinear feedback controller, the efficient complete Synchronization of the coupled dynamos dynamical system is completed. Numerical simulation results show the effectiveness and feasibility of the simple linear controller and nonlinear controller.

Video clip retrieval plays a critical role in the content-based sports video retrieval. This paper proposes a content-based retrieval strategy of sports video clip in which visual and auditory features and text information are extracted to locate similar video clips. Because in sports game play scenes are concerned and interested for most audiences, a long sport video is first automatically segmented into play segments and time-out segments based on audio feature in compressed domain. And then we obtain similar video clips based on sliding shot window algorithm and equivalence relation theory. Finally similar video clips are ranked by visual factor and order factor in terms of longest common sequence (LCS). The experimental results showed that the proposed method could effectively and efficiently retrieve similar video clips corresponding with a query clip in a sports video of TV program.

Hybrid GMRES algorithms are effective for solving large nonsymmetric linear systems. GMRES is employed at the first phase to produce iterative polynomials, which will be used at the second phase to implement the Richardson iteration. In the process of GMRES, a least squares problem needs to be solved which involves an upper Hessenberg factorization. Instead of using GMRES, we may use simpler GMRES. Correspondingly, simpler hybrid GMRES algorithms are formulated. It is described how to construct the iterative polynomials from simpler GMRES. The new algorithms avoid the upper Hessenberg factorization so that they are easier to program and require a less amount of work. Numerical examples are conducted to illustrate the good performance of the new algorithms.

Audio data is one of typical multimedia data and it contains plenty of information. Audio retrieval is becoming important content in multimedia information retrieval. In multimedia retrieval researches, it becomes more and more important research part how to construct better classifiers for audio classification and retrieval. Support Vector Machines, a novel method of the Pattern Recognition, presents excellent performance in solving the problems with small sample, nonlinear and local minima. But audio classification is a multi-class classification problem and it(cid:146)s just one of problems to be solved in SVM researches. In this paper, it compares several common Support Vector Machines and proposes a hierarchical Support Vector Machines based on audio features cluster method, combining audio features and hierarchical SVMS. It uses hierarchical classification method to classify audio data and it(cid:146)s proved better performance by experiments.

Security downgrading policies control information flow and permit information release from a high security level to low security level. Many security downgrading policies are treated as declassification. This paper extend security policies to operations than declassification , the security downgrading policies support downgrading in practical software, each downgrading step is annotated with some operations when some conditions are satisfied. The security type system is formalized as relaxed noninterference.

In this paper, a preconditioned simultaneous displacement method is investigated for the large sparse linear complementarity problems. Under suitable restrictions on the involved parameters, convergence results for this method are presented when the system matrix is an H-matrix with positive diagonal elements.
