The main aim of this work is to develop TiO₂ nanoflowers coated polyester (PET) fabric for antibacterial and UV protection applications. The TiO₂ nanoflowers were grown on PET fabric by a two-step method. In first step, the polyester fabric was seeded using sol-gel method and in second step the nanoflowers were grown on the seeded PET fabric by hydrothermal method. The surface morphology and elemental analysis were carried out by using Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The effect of TiO₂ nanoflowers on the functional properties were examined based on antibacterial activity, UV blocking and physiological comfort properties. The TiO₂ nanoflowers coated fabric demonstrated the ability to kill the bacteria and to prevent its growth. During quantitative assessment the 96% and 99% of bacterial reduction was found for E. coli and S. aureus, respectively. The TiO₂ nanoflowers coated polyester fabric exhibited excellent UV blocking properties. The analysis of thermal properties, water vapor permeability and air permeability was also performed to study the physiological comfort of the TiO₂ nanoflowers coated fabrics. The thermal conductivity and thermal absorptivity was found to increase for TiO₂ nanoflowers coated fabrics. Moreover, no significant decrease in water vapor permeability and air permeability was noticed by the growth of the TiO₂ nanoflowers. The developed PET fabrics could be used for functional applications.

The spherical censer produced in the Tang Dynasty have standardized and identifiable art forms. Based on the study of their worldwide cover area, the actual impact of the Tang Dynasty arts and crafts on the development of world art can be specifically analyzed from the microscopic perspective, so as to further enrich the cultural and artistic academic value of the Silk Road. Based on the study of the origin and spread of spherical censer in the Tang Dynasty, this paper further analyzes the art form of spherical censer in foreign regions, by comparing physical form and decorative style, the relationship between the Silk Road and Tang arts and crafts has been analyzed, and the corresponding design principles of creations.

Surgical sutures allow for wound closure and tissue closure. Ordinary sutures require complicated knotting and manipulation. A kind of barbed silk thread was developed in this paper. The structure of barbed suture was tested and analyzed by infrared absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The results showed that ethanol immersion and high pressure treatment changed the crystal structure of silk fibroin barb and increased the crystallinity of silk fibroin protein. The solubility and mechanical properties of silk fiber barbs showed that the solubility rate of silk fiber barbs was low, but the mechanical properties were strong. It was found that the barbs of silk fibroin were closely bound to the silk thread and formed a regular barb structure on the silk thread. In this paper, different barb Angle sutures of 30°, 45° and 60° were prepared. And the mechanical properties test results showed that the 45° barb sutures have a better stitching effect. This barbed sutures are expected to be used for tissue suturing.

Natural and synthetic fibers can be significant sources of electrostatic build-up in garments. The intrinsic electrical properties of fibers are the result of their chemical composition and polymer structure. Factors such as moisture, temperature, and friction intensity can influence these properties. Due to the insulative characteristics of most fibers, fabrics keep their charge for relatively long periods. This can lead garments to cling to each other, attract dust particles, and create potential hazardous discharge shocks. Moisture increases the electrical conductivity of fibers that leads to a decrease in the build-up of electrostatic potential. The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of absorption of distilled water and electrolyte solution on fabric conductivity and subsequent electrostatic build-up. The study consisted of three components: 1, Comparison of the intrinsic electrical resistance of distilled water to electrolyte solution. 2, Assessment of the electrical resistance of cotton and Nylon fabric samples in relation to decreasing levels of fluid retention. 3, Determination of the electrostatic build-up in Cotton and Nylon fabric samples for dry and wet conditions. The results showed that cotton absorbed more distilled water and electrolyte solution than Nylon. However, the reduction in electrostatic build-up was similar for both. The results indicate that body sweat (electrolyte) can substantially reduce the electrical resistance characteristics of both natural and synthetic fibers and can substantially reduce the generation of electrostatic potential in garments.

Relevant research shows that pregnant women have a high sensitivity to electromagnetic radiation. At present, there is a lack of digital evaluation system for the simulation model of the degree of electromagnetic radiation exposure of pregnant women and the effectiveness of electromagnetic radiation shielding clothing for pregnant women. In this paper, the simulation model of pregnant woman and fetus is proposed, and the virtual fitting software is used to model the clothing, and finally the three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software is used to combine the model and simulate the real situation. In this paper, the effects of electromagnetic radiation on pregnant women and fetuses before and after wearing electromagnetic radiation protective clothing were studied by means of digital evaluation. The results showed that the influence of electromagnetic radiation on pregnant women concentrated in the neck, chest, abdomen, leg; To a certain extent, electromagnetic radiation protective clothing can reduce the impact of radiation on pregnant women and fetuses. In this paper, a digital evaluation method is proposed, which provides a new idea for testing the effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding for pregnant women.
