  • JMS Associate Editor Professor Jixiang Fu of Fudan University was awarded the 2026 TWAS Award in Mathematical Sciences.

Professor Fu is recognized for his fundamental contributions in complex geometry, including groundbreaking solutions to the Hull-Strominger system on non-Kähler manifolds, deeply connected to mathematical physics.

The TWAS Awards are awarded to individual scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least ten years, in recognition of outstanding contributions to scientific knowledge in nine fields of sciences and/or to the application of science and technology to sustainable development.

Professor Zizhou Tang of Chern Institute, who also serves on JMS Editorial Board, previously received the 2020 TWAS Award. Congratulations!
